Epic grim reaper art1/16/2024 Photography has been instrumental in documenting the aircraft's rise into our modern world - an extraordinary testament to mankind's creativity that continues today!ĭiscover the beauty and diversity of nature through amazing landscape photography artworks from Peter Lik! His portfolio showcases stunning pieces ranging from dramatic mountain peaks to tranquil shores across the world. Admire the craftsmanship of these machines with an up-close and personal view, giving any viewer an appreciation of the effort in their construction. Whether planes from the 1940s or slick fighters from the 1980s, you’ll find aviation pictures for sale here that inspire you and add visual interest to your home. The collection of framed wall art present these airplanes in both stark black and white and vibrant colors, showcasing their size and beauty. These powerful feats of human engineering offer a magnificent look into our past. Today it is still revered by aviation enthusiasts and historians alike, and while it may be relegated to the pages of history, the P-51 will always be remembered as one of the greatest fighter planes ever made. Imagining the pilots flying it into battle - I felt a deep respect for their courage. The light was perfect, the air was filled with the smell of oil and metal - it was like a dream. The feeling of power and grace that radiated from the plane had to be captured on camera - quickly. Setting up the tripod at this exact perspective was the other key component to the shot, giving it that authoritative stance. Through the lens it really was an incredible piece of artwork. The light glistened off its metal surface - creating a scene that was both eerie and beautiful. The P-51 quickly became one of the most feared aircraft in the skies, and its legend lives on to this day.īeams of sunlight streamed through the windows of the classic hangar creating a patchwork of light and shadow on the floor surrounding the American fighter plane. In addition, its long range and high ceiling made it ideal for escort missions. 50-caliber machine guns, the Grim Reaper was a fearsome opponent in dogfights. Then came the Grim Reaper variant and the true potential of the aircraft was realized. With its sleek lines and grunty engine, the Mustang is strikingly beautiful as well as deadly effective. The P-51 Mustang is one of the most iconic aircrafts of the Second World War.

2013 equinox length1/16/2024 The equinox occurs twice yearly, at the beginning of spring (around March 21) and the beginning of fall (around September 23). The term "equinox" (from the Latin for equal night) refers to those times during the year in which the length of the day and the night are equal. It then begins its northward movement back to the vernal equinox. It crosses the celestial equator (marking the autumnal equinox) and continues to move southward and rise a little farther south of east each day until it is 23.5 ° south of the celestial equator at the winter solstice around December 22. The summer solstice marks the beginning of summer, after which, the sun begins to move southward. After the vernal equinox, the sun continues to move northward along the ecliptic, rising a little farther north of east each day until it reaches the summer solstice -a point 23.5 ° above the equator -around June 22. When the sun reaches either equinox, it rises in a direction that is due east everywhere on earth. The two points where the ecliptic intercepts the celestial sphere are the equinoxes. Because the ecliptic is tipped relative to Earth ’s equator, it is also tipped relative to the celestial equator. This tilt causes the seasons, and (from our frame of reference) it makes the sun and the planets, which have orbital planes parallel to Earth ’s appear to move north and south during the course of the year along a path called the ecliptic. Time and horizontal angles are measured eastward from the vernal equinox -the point where the sun crosses the celestial equator in March -and vertical angles are measured north or south of the celestial equator.Įarth ’s axis of rotation is tilted 23.5 ° to the plane of its orbit. The extension of Earth ’s north and south poles extend to the north and south celestial poles, and Earth ’s equator can be projected outward to the celestial equator. Today, astronomers still find it useful to imagine a celestial sphere that surrounds Earth. Early astronomers thought the stars were attached to this giant sphere. Although we know it is Earth that rotates, it appears as though this star-speckled dome turns about us. When you gaze upward on a clear night, you see the sky as if it were part of a giant sphere that surrounds earth. The sun does not actually move around Earth its apparent path is a reflection of Earth ’s orbital movement about the sun combined with the tilt of Earth ’s axis. On about September 23, the sun moves from north to south across the equator, marking the autumnal equinox and beginning of autumn. The vernal (spring) equinox, which occurs as the sun moves from south to north across the equator, takes place around March 21 and marks the beginning of spring. In technical astronomical terms, the equinox is the moment at which the sun appears to cross the equator as a result of Earth ’s rotation around the sun. The Latin meaning of the word “equinox ” is “equal night, ” referring to those two moments in the year when day and night are equal in length.

If set to True, then the input elementsĪre merged as if each comparison were reversed. Key specifies a key function of one argument that is used toĮxtract a comparison key from each input element. Has two optional arguments which must be specified as keyword arguments. Streams is already sorted (smallest to largest). Not pull the data into memory all at once, and assumes that each of the input Similar to sorted(itertools.chain(*iterables)) but returns an iterable, does Timestamped entries from multiple log files). Merge multiple sorted inputs into a single sorted output (for example, merge merge ( * iterables, key = None, reverse = False ) ¶ The module also offers three general purpose functions based on heaps. Its push/popĬombination returns the smaller of the two values, leaving the larger value If that isn’tĭesired, consider using heappushpop() instead. The value returned may be larger than the item added. The pop/push combination always returns an element from the heap and replaces Heappush() and can be more appropriate when using a fixed-size heap. This one step operation is more efficient than a heappop() followed by If the heap is empty, Inde圎rror is raised. Pop and return the smallest item from the heap, and also push the new item. Transform list x into a heap, in-place, in linear time. The combined action runs more efficiently than heappush()įollowed by a separate call to heappop(). Push item on the heap, then pop and return the smallest item from the Smallest item without popping it, use heap. Pop and return the smallest item from the heap, maintaining the heap Push the value item onto the heap, maintaining the heap invariant. The following functions are provided: heapq. Populated list into a heap via function heapify(). To create a heap, use a list initialized to, or you can transform a Surprises: heap is the smallest item, and heap.sort() maintains the These two make it possible to view the heap as a regular Python list without Item, not the largest (called a “min heap” in textbooks a “max heap” is moreĬommon in texts because of its suitability for in-place sorting). This makes the relationship between the index for a nodeĪnd the indexes for its children slightly less obvious, but is more suitable The API below differs from textbook heap algorithms in two aspects: (a) We use Smallest element is always the root, heap. The interesting property of a heap is that its For the sake of comparison, non-existing elements areĬonsidered to be infinite. Heap <= heap and heap <= heap for all k, countingĮlements from zero. This implementation uses arrays for which Heaps are binary trees for which every parent node has a value less than orĮqual to any of its children. This module provides an implementation of the heap queue algorithm, also known

They are market momentum, stock price strength, stock price breadth, put and call options, junk bond demand, market volatility, and safe haven demand. The Fear & Greed Index is a compilation of seven different indicators that measure some aspect of stock market behavior. The theory is based on the logic that excessive fear tends to drive down share prices, and too much greed tends to have the opposite effect. Carrizozo lava flow1/16/2024 380 from which you may hike southwest into the WSA on the lava flow. The landscape is difficult to traverse consequently, the opportunity to find solitude is limitless.Īccess is from Highway 380, 4.5 miles west of Carrizozo. This lava flow is believed to be one of the most recent lava flows in the continental United States, dating back 1,500 years. The area supports a remarkably diverse ecosystem, including melanistic species with fur or skin darker than is typical for their species since they live mostly on the dark lava. The Carrizozo Lava Flow WSA is located in central New Mexico. They found that the flows were tube-fed, and were probably mostly fed by a single, large feeder tube. This was discussed in a scientific paper by Keszthelyi and Pieri (1993). Sparse desert shrubs and grasses grow in the cracks providing an interesting contrast of green against the black lava. The Carrizozo lava flows, particularly the lower flow, is unusually long (75 km) for its total eruptive volume of 4.3 cubic kilometers. The eruption began approximately 5,000 years ago, and after two to three decades at a. The surface of the lava is extremely rough and broken by fractures, collapsed lava tubes, and pressure ridges. The 75-km- (50-mi-) long Carrizozo lava flow is located in south-central New Mexico in the Tularosa Basin. Topographic channeling, unusually low viscosity, and fissure vents are ruled out as possible explanations for the length of the flow field. This is a flat plain but a rugged landscape nonetheless. The Carrizozo Lava flow field is a young, 75-km-long, compound tube-fed pahoehoe flow field located in south-central New Mexico. Approximately 5,000 years ago, a vent erupted at Little Black Peak and lasted several decades.
